Battleboro
Tea Farm
& Apiary

               Battleboro, North Carolina

Eastern NC's first and only tea farm

Our farm hosts a symbiotic refuge for pollinators, people, birds and animals.  Everything we grow here supports each other and flourishes because of their relationship to one another in the natural world.

Bees at Work

Battleboro Bee Company

Our apiary produces Carolinian honeybees and honey products of the highest quality in eastern North Carolina.  We offer nuc packages in the spring, Queens, pollination services (private and commercial), beekeeping classes and of course, honey and honey-made products.

Tea Camellia

Did you know that most of the tea we drink is made from the leaves of a camellia?  And did you know that Camellia Sinensis can be grown in the Carolinas?  We absolutely love this flowering bush and the many varieties that produce flowers even in the dead of winter.  The bees love them too.  In the years to come we will be harvesting the leaves for tea and offering plants for purchase out of our nursery.

Founders/Owners

Battleboro Tea Farm was founded for the purpose of growing quality tea to be produced and sold in the USA.  We also believe in sharing the beauty and simplicity of our small farm with others.  In years to come we hope that the experience of visiting Battleboro Tea Farm will include tours of our gardens, hands-on interactive classes on tea harvesting and processing, and of course, tasting how delicious loose leaf tea can be.  Our quaint and quiet setting eases the mind and refreshes the soul.  Studies show that exposure to nature reduces mental health dysfunction, increases life expectancy, and creates an appreciation for the symbiotic relationship that we have with the world around us.
